AT LEAST one motel operator is threatening to take the law into his own hands unless police curb late night boy racers screeching around central New Plymouth.

Five moteliers on the one-way street circuit of Courtenay and Leach streets, and Northgate, say they are losing sleep and customers because of the noise on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
