Goldman Dynamic Opportunities Fund Raises $507 Million

LONDON (HedgeWorld.com) - Goldman Sachs Asset Management disclosed that its Dynamic Opportunities closed-end fund of hedge funds raised $507 million from investors and will begin trading on the London Stock Exchange as of July 27. It is the largest ever initial public offering of an LSE-listed fund of funds.

The fundraising took in 137.5 million ($328 million) in sterling shares; 70.5 million in euro- ($88 million) denominated shares; and $91 million in dollar shares. Goldman said the shares were sold to a broad range of investors including insurance companies, pension funds, discretionary asset managers and private wealth managers.
