Futures Fee Comes Around Again

WASHINGTON (HedgeWorld.com) - As it has in years past, the presidential administration in this year's budget proposal has targeted futures transactions as a potential new revenue stream: And, as in years past, opposition has crystallized.

The proposed fiscal year 2008 funding for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is $116 million. This is somewhat more modest than last year's proposal, which was for $127 million.
