BOCA RATON, Fla. (HedgeWorld.com) - The trading-software vendor Trading Technologies Inc. and the futures brokerage Peregrine Financial Group Inc., both of Chicago, settled an intellectual- property dispute Thursday [March 16] in the warmer and perhaps more amiable environment of the Futures Industry Association's industry conference.
In the settlement, TT acknowledges that Peregrine's online platform BEST Direct doesn't infringe TT's patents. Peregrine, in turn, acknowledges that the BEST Direct Fast, the creation of Peregrine's software developer, TradeMaven LLC, which Peregrine "made available" to its customers "for a short time," did violate TT's rights.See the full content of this document
